Kidnap case goes to trial

A MAN accused of conspiracy to kidnap and assaulting a teenager is to stand trial.
Christopher Kuku, 27, denied charges of false imprisonment, assault and conspiracy to kidnap when he appeared at Basildon Crown Court today (Friday).
Kuku is alleged to have attacked the 17-year-old alleged victim at his home in Parnell Close, Chafford Hundred on February 19 this year.
The defendant was remanded in custody and a date for trial has yet to be set.
