PROLIFIC Thurrock fundraiser Rudy Weeber is set to celebrate his 70th birthday by cycling the length of Britain.
Rudy, of Barry Close, Chadwell St Mary, is 70 on May 17, the same day he will embark on a cycle ride from John O'Groats to Lands End.
Rudy, who has prostate cancer, has already raised £3,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care for this trip alone.
Marie Curie community fundraiser, Nicky Hastler, said: "It's always been a dream of Rudy's to cycle the length of Britain and now he is to realise his dream."
Anyone who would like to sponsor Rudy and his cycling partner on this trip, Mike Johnson, 60 of Alexandra Close, Grays, can contact Nicky on 01920468956.
