Students make Cambridge connection with Palmer's

LOOKING FORWARD: Students at Palmer's learning about the college and university.

EIGHTY pupils from 11 local schools have spent time at Palmer's College and Cambridge University as part of a further education initiative.

Palmer's principal Mark Vinall said: "The students all had an informative and highly enjoyable experience.

"It is vitally important that we actively maintain our positive links with local schools, higher education and industry to ensure Palmer's College remains rightfully regarded as the number one destination for school leavers and a great place for academic and vocational education as well as a first rate route to university or employment."

The Cambridge Initiative is one example of the many projects Palmer's College has worked on with its specialist sixth form college expertise for many years, and was one of the factors which contributed to its being awarded Beacon Status earlier this year, a coveted national quality recognition award.
